Isn't it amazing?!! We've been taken to such a delightfully strange place!!!
Though I'm away from the other members of Ryuseitai, good fortune smiled upon us and you and I are here together as comrades!!!! A sports club, being spirited away to another planet.... surely, it's the plot of our own heroic story, ready to start!! ☆

[As soon as Subaru'd gotten the first text, he'd set his phone aside to cuddle Daikichi and watch the rest roll in from the comfort of his makeshift bed on the couch, nuzzling into the dog's fur to keep the persistently odd feeling loneliness at bay (he has no reason for it!!! he's living with someone!!! he has a job based around people!!! but he keeps having it!!!)

[ true to his word, he passes a link along with the watch, and makes his own way out to the court. who knows where chiaki managed to buy himself a basketball, but it's currently sitting on a bench near the court itself. chiaki isn't with it--when subaru arrives, he'll find his senpai running laps around the court. you see, he's been feeling...odd the past couple of days, and a run usually clears his head...which means in the past few days, he's done a lot of running. he refuses to let any sort of sadness get to him nowadays, often surrounding himself with friends or his unit to remind himself of all the great things he has supporting him, like a true hero.

things like subaru! when he spots him, chiaki stops mid run and turns on his heel, beaming and waving. ] Akehoshi!! [ by far, the strangest thing about this moon would be the bizarre features, though for chiaki, maybe a wagging tail and perky ears aren't that strange. ]

[Whoa, they look so natural on Chiaki. As natural as they'd look on Koga and himself, probably, but Subaru doesn't look like he's got any differences right off? But boy, could he smell Chiaki before he saw him.]

Chi-chan-senpai~! You're as full of energy as ever, huh~? Me too. ☆

[You know, to make up for the rest of their schoolmates here. Subaru's stealing the ball from the bench when he gets close, dribbling it with a grin.]

I woke up this morning and thought it was a bit strange.

[ a bit??? ] But, I thought, perhaps it was like when Bosg*n turned people into humanoid animals in K*men Rider Black! If Kohtaro can live as a pig, then perhaps I can live like this! ★

[ incredible. behind him, his tail starts to wag, and he's overwhelmed with the urge to run over and hug akehoshi, which isn't that weird. for now he staves it off, instead coming to face subaru to take him on. that tail's still wagging a mile a minute. ] But, it's no matter! I think it'll make me more aerodynamic, so throw it at me with everything you've got, Akehoshi...!

[A bit.......... It's so natural, Subaru can't even think it's weird. It just is what it is. His senpai's kind of a dog, it's fine. Subaru wants to hug Chiaki too (weird) but game comes first. Basketball's partially a contact sport anyway. ☆

But!!! He will give everything he's got, honestly thankful for a bit of ball after the everything that the ordeal with Adam and then Knights was... It's so normal, a breath of fresh air in a different way than suddenly appearing here was, hope Chiaki enjoys the hardest he's played in a while.]

[ it is really natural--playing basketball, it is.

subaru's got game, like always. it's impressive--akehoshi tends to show talent in every manner of his life, consistently blowing away the competition, and basketball is no different. chiaki loves the competition, loves the friendly skinship, the bonds, the camaraderie. maybe they could've taken a national championship someday.

but! chiaki will do his best to keep up with him. it's intense on his end, too; he's talented in his own right, and though he's guarding subaru with all of his usual intense might, he's maybe closer than normal. like, a lot closer than normal.

like practically plastered to his back normal. hmmm... that's nice ☆ ]

[That is nice, though habit sends shivers down his spine at the complete contact as he turns to get around Chiaki and down to the other end to score another point. His captain really is as good as always, a shining star that rivals even Trickstar's brilliance, that led him from darkness and gave him the first of many homes in school --

Okay, so maybe Subaru's a little too close this time as the defender, that's fine it feels great (even if he kind of misses being the little spoon?)]

[ this game is getting sort of aggressive, isn't it? even chiaki's getting into it. he's fired up, and when he takes the ball back, he's quick to dribble around him, shifting on the balls of his feet to get the ball through so they're face to face (even if that body contact was?? nice??). he moves to give it a dribble between his legs, shoulder bumping into subaru's a little harder than he meant to, almost certainly enough to knock him off of his feet. ]

--Akehoshi! [ chiaki realizes himself just a second later; his three pointer clangs off the rim because he's distracted, and he drops down to check on his underclassman. what just happened? chiaki's never that aggressive. ] Are you alright?! I'm sorry--!

[ his dumb dog ears are drooping, even. ]

[One second he's facing down Chiaki with a similar energy racking his body, just as aggressive in his defense, and the next his shoulder's hit hard enough that he finds himself on the ground, arm stinging a bit as he sits up to check his damage... Just some scrapes, but it makes him frown.]

Yeah, yeah, it's nothing~. It's not like I broke my arm or anything like that, Chi-chan-senpai.

[See? Just some blood, which is, very strong to them both actually. Like the fucking animal he is, Subaru'll lick his wounds... Arm, hand, knee. Blood taste good.]

You sure hit hard though! I don't think I've ever seen you like that before, it totally caught me off guard. Let's do another round like that!

[ that doesn't matter!!! brows knit together, clearly concerned, he reaches for subaru's wrist to pull his arm over and look at it properly. jin-sensei never lets him get away with his scrapes, and that...

hm. his nostrils flare, like he's sniffing the air. he is. this should be gross. ] You're bleeding, though. I guess I didn't know my own strength... It's too bad Sagami-sensei's not--hyahh?

[ WHY DID YOU LICK YOURSELF. actually, more importantly, why did chiaki also think that was a good idea, for a minute. he's left staring for a bit longer than he's supposed to, not quite entranced, but eyes wide, staring at the bloodied spot. ] You... Akehoshi, don't do things like that.

[ for? reasons? there are heroic and important reasons like not getting diseases or something! but none of those come to mind because chiaki is feeling...weird. really weird. heartbeat going one hundred miles an hour weird. ]

[Oh, contact... Nice. It's leaving pleasant tingles under his skin, which is remarkable compared to the tingles he has from the wounds themselves (knitting back together, naturally, a little faster with Chroma), and Subaru leans down to lick his knee again.]

I always do this, though? It feels like it heals faster when I do.

[Even if that's not, necessarily true... Chiaki can sort of feel Subaru's pulse beneath his fingers too, holding his wrist, it's fast from their match and. This, too, bleeding into each other.]
