[apart from wishing him happy birthday when they woke and hugging him tight, Helena had asked that he please not come back to the dorms that day until she told him to - it'd ruin the surprise! but in the afternoon, after classes, he'll get a message that he can return now.

in their room, she's set up a plate with an orange roll cake for him - the citrus is in the cake, but the filling is vanilla and sweet. it tastes like summer, and it's all for him.

and there's a card too that she made with help, proclaiming it to be one IOU for a day where she'll agree to anything he wants to do. a whole 24 hours!
